Camping

Last weekend, I went camping for the first time in years. I may have mentioned that whilst under lockdown I had joined a few groups online and made some friends. I had met some of them previously for a walk and this was the first weekend away with them. There were a few that I hadn't met before.

I was pretty nervous and anxious to begin with but I soon settled in. I felt a lot better once my tent was up. It was soon like we had all known each other for much longer than we had as we all felt really comfortable to be around each other.

The weather wasn't the best and was very windy on the first day. It rained on the Saturday as well but we had lots of fun. I can honestly say I haven't laughed so much like that in a very long time.

So as much as lockdowns have been rubbish for a lot of people, the friendships that I have made under lockdown and being able to actually do stuff with them means the absolute world. Some of these people really get me and we have only known each other a few months.

I am now looking forward to more adventures with these people.
