Mental Health day

Yesterday was World Mental Health day and now more than ever I think we need to look after our mental health. It is all to easy to forget about it. We need to make sure we look after ourselves.

A huge concern for me since lockdown is people's mental health. Lockdown is and has been hard on everyone whether you have mental health problems already. It is something that should be able to talk about more openly. I know people who hadn't or weren't really affected in normal circumstances with mental health really struggle.

I am an overthinker and I know that being in lockdown didn't help that. But I am doing what I can to stop all of the thoughts. I listen to a lot of videos on YouTube that really help me. I also do some meditation and running and going for walks also help. I find being outdoors in nature so therapeutic so I always try and make time for that. Some days are better than others and are easier but we need to be kind to ourselves. We are all doing the best we can in this situation. So we need to go easy on ourselves. It isn't easy but we will get through it. And if you're struggling, don't go it alone .... talk to someone. Anyone who you think will listen, but don't bottle it up (something I know I am guilty of sometimes!)
