New experiences

Yesterday I met up with some people who I had been chatting to online through a group with similar interests. It was the first time meeting them in person and I felt quite anxious and nervous at first but then it was like I knew them all for ages. We all just chatted and got to know each other. It was the first time for a lot of us all meeting each other.

The weather was lovely and we went for a walk. I had never done this walk so it was all new to me but it was lots of fun. We had various stops for lunch and breaks for us all and just to take in the beautiful views.

We then ended up in the pub garden for a well deserved pint! It was amazing! If someone asked me what a perfect day looked like that pretty much was it. I felt like I had found people who are similar to me and similar interests. We all have our stories but we are also connected with our shared interests.

I can't wait to see them again and there are more meet ups planned. I can't wait to meet more people from the group!

It just shows that you are never too old to make new friends and try new experiences.
