Overthinking and mental health

I suffer with anxiety and I am a massive overthinker. I can think myself into a bad mood like many people can. I can imagine the reason why someone is doing something for a certain reason but that is the way I have received it. It doesn't matter what is said or done it all depends on how it is received by someone and whether they are in a good place or not. If they are positive then they will only see the good in a situation. If someone is in a bad place then the same action could be taken negatively.
It is all too easy at this time to get into a negative headspace when we are under lockdown and it is very important to do what you can to get yourself into a good headspace whether that is doing something creative, doing some sort of exercise or going out for a walk or cooking. Make sure it is something you enjoy and will take your mind into the present.
As I said, I am a massive overthinker and I know I need to improve on this. Sometimes having a conversation with someone whether over the phone or by video call or however is easier under the circumstances. It usually tends to clear things up and I realise then that a lot of what I have been thinking has just been in my head and didn't really exist anyway. So don't believe every thought you brain has as it might not be true.
Go easy on yourself. You are doing the best you can under the circumstances.
